Chester, VT 05143
Once again, kicking off the fall season on the third weekend of September, the 45th Annual Chester Fall Festival will bring arts and crafts vendors, artisan demonstrations, food vendors, and music to the Town Green in the center of beautiful Chester, Vermont.
This annual event is sponsored by the Chester Rotary Club and is held annually as a hallmark of the beginning of fall here in our New England town.
Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd, from 10:00am - 4:00pm in 2019. Hundreds of people converge on the Green from all over New England for this annual community event. 2018’s event drew big crowds, and this year there will be many new vendors in addition to returning favorites.
This is a free outdoor event and you will find the Chester Green lined with vendors offering pottery, fine woodworking, fiber art, jewelry, photography, glass, and much more with something of interest for everyone. A children’s tent and hands-on projects at local not-for-profit tents offer activities for kids, and there are opportunities to sample local foods and to enjoy music showcasing Vermont musicians. Be sure to take time to stroll through the village of Chester and enjoy its unique architecture and local studios, shops and restaurants.
On Saturday, visit the Fullerton Inn Beer Garden at Chester’s Fullerton Inn for food, music and beer!
Round-trip scenic foliage train rides depart for either Rockingham or Ludlow both days from Chester at 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 3:30pm. See schedule below, and rails-vt.com for tickets and more information.
Enjoy live music on stage in front of the Fullerton Inn — featuring Beth Adams, DV8, Jennings & McComber, Crowd the Plow, Owen Neid, Root7, and John Specker.
Chester’s Green is located on VT Route 11, easily accessible from I-91 via either Exit 6 (Route 103) or Exit 7 (Route 11).
