Vermont Grand View Farm

Washington, VT 05675
It's family felting fun time! Visit Grand View Farm to learn a new craft with the whole family in their airy farm studio! They will be teaching private beginning felting workshops to your family (2-4 people), on a first come, first served basis. You will learn some of the basic properties of wool and then each participant will complete either a small wet felted vessel/pouch or a needle felted mural. Afterwards, you can browse the farm store and say hi to the sheep!
There are only two slots available for this class due to COVID regulations: one at 1:00pm, one at 3:00pm. They will go fast, so register soon if you would like to join! When registering, please specify whether you would like to learn wet felting or needle felting (needle felting is recommended for children over the age of 7). $15/person.
All participants must wear a mask while in the felting studio unless under the age of 7. Please leave your pets at home.
Register at vermontfarmschool.com/register-for-open-farm-week-2020. Kim will email an invoice to you to pay prior to your arrival. They can only accommodate two families so don’t delay in registering!
VT Grand View Farm is one of the earliest farms in the town of Washington with the initial purchase dating back to the late 1700s. The Goodling family is the fourth family to own the farm. When they moved in, the farm had not seen livestock for over 50 years. They have worked hard to reestablish its rich agricultural history through regenerative farming practices. The farm is home to Vermont’s first flock of Gotland sheep, a few pigs, and two border collies.
